8:00 AM - Hand Cycle Athletes
8:05 AM - Elite and Registered Athletes
*Please note, you may hear notifications for the Hand Cycle start times just before the start notification for the elite and general registered athletes. Your finish time will not start tracking until you cross the start line.
The temperature at the start of the race will be 36 degrees, with 5-8 mph winds, 80% humidity and mostly cloudy skies. We expect to start the race under the WHITE flag, but that is expected to change to a GREEN flag mid-morning as temperatures rise.
We advise runners to dress in layers at the start on race morning. A trash bag makes a great disposable waterproof windbreaker to start the race! Keep in mind that many runners overdress — at the start line, you should actually feel a little chilled. A few miles into the race, you will feel as though it were 10-20 degrees warmer than it actually is as humidity levels will decrease and the sun will quickly place us in GREEN temperatures. Bring an old sweatshirt or long-sleeve shirt that you can wear to the start and then discard when the race begins. (We will donate all discarded clothing.)
The color-coded Event Alert System will communicate the status of course conditions to participants leading up to and on race day. The levels range from Low to Extreme based on a variety of factors including weather conditions.
All participants should familiarize themselves with the Event Alert System prior to the race, remain alert for directions from race officials, announcers and volunteers and take proper precautions based on race day weather conditions.
FedEx Ground Gear Check trucks drop-off and pick-up locations are:
MORE INFO: Race-issued gear check bags will be available at the drop-off location. Luggage bags, oversized or overnight items, loose articles, or bags that are not race-issued will not be accepted. All unclaimed items will be donated to charity after that time.
Please note the breakout/assignment of corrals is based on the estimated finish time you submitted during registration:
If you would like to change corrals, please note you can drop back to a slower corral without providing us with any advanced notification or making any changes to your race number/bib. However, if you would like to be moved to a faster or seeded corral, you must notify the race officials at packet pickup and show proof of pace.
