PITTSBURGH  – DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon champions Andrew and Sydney (Devore) Bowman will headline the 2024 EQT Pittsburgh 10 Miler on Nov. 3, as the power couple aims to make history by becoming the first married duo to win the race. Andrew claimed victory at the 2024 Pittsburgh Marathon with a winning time of 2:15:52, while Sydney took home the title in 2018. Now, the couple will return to Pittsburgh’s streets to compete for another victory.

“I’m excited to return to Pittsburgh and race against some of the best. Looking forward to running hard and having fun on the beautiful streets and bridges of Steel City,” Andrew said.

To claim victory, Andrew will face tough competition from Matt Baxter, the 2023 EQT Pittsburgh 10 Miler champion, who completed the course in an impressive 47:54. Local standout Will Loevner, a Winchester Thurston High School graduate, will also be on the starting line after finishing second to Andrew at this year’s Pittsburgh Marathon.

Sydney’s path to victory will be no easy feat, as she faces elite competition from top runners including Molly Grabill, a two-time Bolder Boulder 10K champion, and Jeralyn Poe, who boasts a 10-mile personal best of 54:41. Pittsburgh’s own Jennifer Bigham, a six-time winner of the City of Pittsburgh Great Race, will also challenge the field.

“We are so excited to be back in the Steel City to race the EQT Pittsburgh 10 Miler together,” Sydney said. “Pittsburgh holds such a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait to make some more memories with Andy there. Also, Pittsburgh has the best spectators.”

The EQT Pittsburgh 10 Miler is known for its fun, community-focused course that celebrates the city’s neighborhoods and landmarks. This year’s event will feature exciting attractions, including:

• A Mr. Rogers Water Station, where volunteers will don his iconic red sweater and cheer on runners
• The Museum of Illusions zone, adding mind-bending signage along the course ●       The debut of the District Dawgs Cheer Zone, bringing pawsitivity and energy from four-legged friends
• The official Pickle Juice Station in the Strip District and the always-energetic Val’s Aid Station
